To operate the directory and provide our services, we collect the following categories of data:

• Account & Registration Data: When you register an account, we collect your name and email address.
• Directory Listing Data: When you submit a business profile, we collect the public information you provide, including business name, contact phone numbers, service categories, descriptions, and regional locations.
• Partner Referral Data: Submitting a listing requires booking a demonstration call with our CRM partner, Keap (part of Thryv). There is no obligation to purchase anything; booking the call is a condition of listing approval. Information you provide to schedule that call, such as your name, email, and phone number, is collected by Keap and is subject to Keap’s own privacy policy.
• Communication Data: If you submit a contact or registration form, we collect those details to correspond with you.
• Technical & Usage Data: We intend to use Google Analytics to collect non-personally identifiable information (non-PII) such as IP addresses, browser types, and user behavior to monitor site performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your collected information for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your user account and verify directory submissions.
• To publish your professional business profile, including your listed phone number and email, to the public directory, so that residents and businesses can contact you directly. This is the core purpose of the directory: helping listed professionals generate enquiries.
• To connect you with Keap, our CRM partner, for a required product demonstration as part of the listing approval process.
• To contact you directly via email regarding your account, listing status, or with low-frequency service updates and platform notices.
• To optimize and improve Website functionality via analytics tracking.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, we process your personal data based on the following lawful grounds:

• Performance of a Contract: Necessary to fulfil the directory services and listing profiles you sign up for, including the requirement to book a Keap demonstration as part of listing approval.
• Consent: When you explicitly opt in to receive email correspondence or accept analytics cookies.
• Legitimate Interests: To maintain platform security, prevent spam, and manage day-to-day platform operations. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object (see Section 6).

5. Data Retention & Third-Party Sharing

• Public Data: Any details you add to your public directory listing, including your phone number and email address, will be visible to users browsing WexDex.ie, so that they can contact you directly.
• Keap (Thryv): As part of the listing process, your contact details are shared with Keap to arrange your required demonstration call. Keap is based in the United States. Transfers of your data to Keap are carried out under the safeguards required by GDPR for international transfers; details of these safeguards are available on request.
• No Sale of Data: Other than the parties named in this section, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
• Data Retention: We retain your account and registration data for as long as your profile remains active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

6. Your Data Protection Rights

As an EU/Irish resident, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

• The right to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold on you.
• The right of rectification if your data is inaccurate or incomplete.
• The right to object to or restrict our processing of your data, including processing based on legitimate interests.
